Podgorica, August 2025 – Renowned Italian cable car manufacturer Leitner, one of the global leaders in the field of advanced mobility, has become a co-owner in the Montenegrin company XEnergy d.o.o. Podgorica (formerly New Volvox), through its investment holding company RopFin, taking over 20% of the ownership.
Two partners are behind the construction of the Kotor-Lovcen cable car, completed in a record 13 months, as well as the gondola at the ski resort in Kolasin. Works are underway on the cable cars leading to Đalovića Cave, one of the longest and best-preserved caves in Europe, as well as on the route from Igalo to the Ilinica viewpoint in Herceg Novi. The current projects of six-seater lifts at the localities of Žarski (Mojkovac) and Cmiljača (Bijelo Polje) represent an important segment of the national ski infrastructure, and in the meantime the cooperation has expanded beyond the borders of Montenegro, so currently, the two companies are working on the construction of a new cable car on the Red Descent on Sljeme near Zagreb, confirming their leading position in the field of advanced mobility and sustainable infrastructure in the region.
