Ubli substation – the energy basis for the solar future of the Kuča area
In order to increase the capacity for the production of energy from renewable sources and support the energy transition of Montenegro, the 35/0.8 kV substation "Ubli" was built, as a key infrastructure for connecting the solar power plant with the power system.
Company Xenergy In this project, d.o.o. played the role of a subcontractor, in charge of the complete execution of construction and electrical works, including earthworks, installation of electrical equipment, finishing works and technical commissioning of the system.
The substation is equipped with highly efficient equipment from renowned manufacturers ABB and Siemens, which ensures high reliability, stability and safety in working with energy from solar sources.
The Ubli substation has multiple positive impacts on the community and the energy sector of Montenegro. First of all, it enables efficient connection of the solar power plant to the grid, which directly contributes to increasing the share of renewable sources in the national energy mix and reducing CO₂ emissions.
The project strengthens the local valorization of natural resources, encourages the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy sources, and opens up space for new investments in the field of green energy.
The installation of modern equipment and control systems raises the technological level of the electric power infrastructure, while the successful implementation creates the foundations for the future development of solar capacities in this area.
