Improvement of mountain tourism infrastructure through modern solutions
As part of the strategic development of the mountainous area of Igriste near Vlasenica, the company Strucon d.o.o. SarajevoToday XElement d.o.o. SarajevoMember XE Group, successfully completed the construction of a six-seater folding cable car, which was put into operation in 2023. This investment represents a milestone for the Ski Center Igrišta, opening the door to new tourist potentials of eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project involved the complete construction of a cable car with all the technical elements necessary for safe and efficient operation in conditions of high altitudes and harsh climatic conditions. The cable car is equipped with fast loading and disembarking systems, and the structure is designed according to the highest standards of safety, comfort and resistance.

The construction of the Igrišta cable car has brought a number of positive effects on the local community and the wider region – from an increase in tourist traffic and the number of visitors, through a significant reduction in transport time to the top of the track, to a direct contribution to the local economy through new jobs and the engagement of domestic resources. Also, this infrastructure project creates the foundations for future investments in accommodation capacities and the development of additional tourist facilities.
The Igrišta cable car is not only a technical achievement, but a symbol of a new phase in the development of winter tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina – a phase that brings competitiveness, sustainability and regional importance.
