Hajla and Štedim – development of a new ski destination in the northern region of Montenegro
At the locality of Hajla and Štedim, in the municipality of Rožaje, the implementation of an ambitious project is underway, which aims to position this northern mountainous area of Montenegro as a new ski and tourist destination. The project includes the development of a conceptual design, the main design and the construction of a modern six-seater folding cable car, as well as the preparation of a conceptual design for ski slopes.
This infrastructure project is implemented on the principle of "design and build", and is significantly supported by the Public Works Administration of Montenegro. By the end of 2020, Strucon International dsd Podgorica – legal predecessor of the company XElement d.o.o.Sarajevo, has completed more than 80% of the planned activities, which confirms the continuity and reliability in the implementation of complex infrastructure solutions in mountainous areas.
Through this project, Rožaje gains the potential to become a significant point on the map of winter tourism in Montenegro, with additional socio-economic benefits for the local community through job creation and extension of the tourist season.
The project is carried out by the company XElement d.o.o., member XE Group.
