With 47.6% of female engineers on the team, out of the total number of engineers, XEnergy The U.S . is far superior to the European average. In a company where energy, construction and cable car and gondola projects are conditioned by precise engineering standards, trust is the key word.
About Us XEnergy from Podgorica carefully builds a reputation as a respectable regional system in the fields of energy, engineering, infrastructure and vertical transport. In addition to large projects, it also seeks to be recognized for the way it develops teams, through clear criteria of knowledge, trust and responsibility.
Today, more than 47% of engineering positions in the company, from designers to chief and lead engineers – are held by women. This figure is especially important when compared to official European statistics, according to which the share of women in technical professions is about 41% (Eurostat, 2024), and in the energy sector about 32% (IRENA, 2025).
In a sector where the structure of the workforce has been almost unchanged for decades, XEnergy It shows that sustainable development begins within the organization itself. The focus of the company is on people who build systems, whether it is substations, transmission lines or cable cars for which the company is recognized (Kotor Lovcen Cable Car, Kolašin 1600), which are becoming indispensable symbols of Montenegro as a tourist destination.
This philosophy is also visible in the composition of the management: Milena Filipović, Director of the Development and Investment Sector and Marta Dašić, Head of Technical Preparation, today lead the sectors that directly affect the technical excellence and strategic growth of the company.

In the development and investment sector, Milena Filipović leads processes that combine engineering practice and strategic planning. "Energy is no longer a closed system, it is linked to technology, sustainability and tourism," Filipovic explains. "Our projects are becoming more and more multidisciplinary. It is necessary to understand the bigger picture, but also to be specific enough so that every decision has a measurable result."
"In engineering, decisions are not made based on assumptions. It takes knowledge, analysis and responsibility," says Marta Dašić, who has been working for more than ten years in the technical preparation of demanding projects. "Technical preparation is the foundation of any project and any mistakes we prevent on paper save time, money and resources in the field."
Dašić leads a team that brings together designers, planners and supervising engineers. Their work precedes every stage of construction, from the optimization of technical documentation to the control of quality standards.
In the technical preparation team, Marina Garović performs the role of a leading engineer, responsible for coordinating projects in the field of construction. Our work includes planning, technical verification, monitoring of standards and communication with partners in the field.

"Engineering work requires precision, but also trust between people. When you know that the team works as a whole, every decision has a clearer context," Garovic said.
At XEnergy, continuity of experience is especially appreciated.
The arrival of Rajka Velimirović, Chief Engineer of Supervision for the Construction Group of Jobs, was greeted with great respect. After many years of working in the roles of responsible designer, auditor and supervision on numerous construction sites throughout Montenegro, her experience has become an important source of mentoring and professional orientation for younger colleagues.

"Mentoring is not a formality, but a way to transfer knowledge responsibly. You always have someone to turn to, and that makes a difference on the field," Velimirović emphasizes.
The XEnergy system is based on mutual respect and continuity, both knowledge and life outside of work.
Danka Kastratovic, Lead Development Engineer in the Construction Business Group, is currently on maternity leave, and her team maintains continuity of work and a work environment that supports a return free of pressure and prejudice. Such a relationship shows that professional support and flexibility are not the exception, but the rule.
According to UNESCO data, the global average representation of women among engineering graduates is 28%. In this context, the structure of the XEnergy team is not accidental, but the result of a policy that sees technical excellence as a shared responsibility. "In every project, we learn how important diversity and openness to ideas are for efficiency," says Dašić. "It's not a question of numbers, it's a matter of quality."
There is no formal "diversity program" within the company, it has already been achieved through daily practice. The role of each engineer is defined by knowledge, experience and contribution. Different generations, experiences and perspectives make the system more resilient and able to respond to the challenges of the modern market. It is this approach, which is a combination of analyticality and operational accuracy, that allows XEnergy to maintain stable growth and at the same time invest in the development of people.
Projects such as the Gvozd SS and the Kotor-Lovcen Cable Car, the Science Technology Park of Montenegro, confirm that XEnergy It has the capacity to carry out tasks of the highest complexity, with the integration of construction, power and mechanical components.
In recent years, the company has been intensively expanding to the markets of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has strengthened its presence in the region and expanded its capacities for the execution of complex projects of high and medium voltage, inclined elevators, cable cars and gondolas, as well as integrated construction and energy solutions.
Cooperation with global names such as Siemens, ABB, Hitachi, Schneider Electric and Leitner, and the recent entry of Leitner into the company's ownership structure XEnergy through a 20% share, confirms XEnergy's reputation as a reliable partner in industries with the highest demands.
"Success is not measured by the size of the project, but by how functional the system is once the job is done," Filipovic concludes. "Our task is to ensure that every facility we build is stable, safe and sustainable in the long term. This requires strong preparation, knowledge and trust between the teams."
While many companies are just beginning to transform towards new industry standards, XEnergy This process has already been put into practice. A stable system, precisely defined responsibilities and investment in the development of people are the elements that enable projects to be implemented on time, without compromising on quality.
And perhaps most importantly: every new generation of engineers at XEnergy sees that excellence is achievable when knowledge, experience and the opportunity for growth are in the same place.
Today, the XEnergy team is dedicated to working on the projects of electric power modernization of Luštica, the Đalovića Cave gondola that will present this speleological pearl of Montenegro to the world, on the Igalo-Ilinica cable car for new horizons of the city of Herceg Novi as a tourist center, and the first momentum of the wind farm on Gvozd and the first kilowatt-hours of green energy from this place, as an important step on the path of energy transition of Montenegro, is especially eagerly awaited.
